Title: Te Waikoropupū Springs

 Te Waikoropupū Springs

Abel Tasman Naitonal Park

Takaka, Tasman

New Zealand

Now that our family is living so close to Abel Tasman National Park, we are bursting with eagerness to visit as often as possible. Yesterday we visited Waikoropupū Springs for a leisurely short loop around to this magnificent destination in Takaka.

“Te Waikoropupū Springs are the largest freshwater springs in New Zealand, the largest cold water springs in the Southern Hemisphere and contain some of the clearest water ever measured. This is very close to optically pure water, with clearer water found only beneath Antarctica’s near-frozen Weddell Sea.” New Zealand Department of Conservation

I literally could have stayed here all day. These types of forests and walks are my happy place, a place where my senses are in paradise. Gorgeous moss covered forest, bridges over trickling and rushing streams, cheerful bird song and then…this.

In this photograph, I’ve captured the reflecting spring in it’s pure colors and tones. A work of art in nature.

DISPLAY OPTIONS: Fine Art Print or Canvas Gallery Wrap: Sizes 8X8" - 24x36"

  • Custom print framing with white mat and canvas float framing available.  A custom-priced listing will be created for you.  You are not obligated to purchase the frame listing, however be aware that this art purchase will not begin to process or ship until you have communicated your plans for framed vs unframed.

FINE ART PRINT DETAILS: 308gsm or 188gsm

*gsm= grams per square inch = paper weight. Standard printer paper is rougly 80gsm.
Whether you purchase fine art photography, prints of original paintings/cyanotypes or prints from your portrait session, my process and quality remains the same. ALL prints are exclusively created with Hahnemühle Photorag 308gsm (or 188gsm available for portrait session photographs only), smooth, lightly textured matte fine art paper. Hahnemühle describes it best:
“This white cotton artist’s paper, with its characteristic, wonderfully soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth. This paper produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail."

Please note that all square print sizes will be cropped to suit best composition for each image.

Fine Art Canvas Wraps are printed directly onto museum-quality canvas material using high-quality archival inks. Lustre Laminate is applied to each piece to protect the surface of the print.

Images are mirror-wrapped around the edges so none of the original artwork is lost to wrapping on the sides. Edges can be left white, include request at checkout "add a note".
Canvas wraps are ready to hang on the wall right out of the box, and can also be displayed propped on a mantle or bookshelf.
