Emerge in Beauty

The flowers emerge
Under the sky
They change color and grow
Like you and I
There isn’t a reason
To falter them for
Taking their time
Those years before
Configuring shapes
Knowing what’s true
For gathering what
They are meant to do
When the flowers emerge
They have strength to stand
Under the sun
And within the land
Behold their beauty
and honor their courage
To live among them
A special privilege
They dance in the breeze
And rise with the day
They know just what to do
Love, give and play
The flowers emerge
I know this to be true
The flowers, you see
Are me and you.
